Custom Casting Service
We cast to your individual specifications from:
One-off Castings from Wax Patterns Supplied
Your wax patterns may be supplied to us for one off
castings. Apecs caters to all areas of craftsmanship within the jewellery and allied
trades from manufacturers to hobbyists and students. Our service offers the opportunity of
working in wax as an alternative medium to obtain a pattern. This pattern can then be cast
in your desired metal type on a one-off basis- Master Patterns Supplied for Moulding
From a metal master pattern supplied, a vulcanised
rubber mould is made for reproduction of your design to order. The master pattern is
returned to you with a mould reference number which may be quoted only by you for
re-orders..

APECS MOULDING POLICY
MOULDING
FEES
All standard moulds will incur a
once-only fee at time of initial moulding. Replacement moulds if needed for fair wear and
tear will be made free of charge.
This once only fee is currently Aust.$18 for standard moulds, payable at time of
initial moulding.
Ownership of the rubber mould is Apecs’, with exclusive use of the design contained
in such mould being that of the customer from whose master pattern and to whose order for
product the mould was produced.
The exclusive access to product from the mould will remain with such customer for as
long as, and for two clear years beyond, the time they remain a current customer of Apecs.
This is irrespective of use of any particular moulds. i.e. all moulds made to the order of
such customer remain held as exclusive access.
CONTRACT MOULDING - OWNERSHIP OF MOULDS
Moulds can also be made on a
contract basis for your ownership where you may wish to purchase and retain the mould,
either stored at Apecs for current orders or retained at your own premises.
A separate service, this will be charged at mould purchase price, currently
Aust. $15 per mould. This is additional to the moulding fee of Aust. $18.
Note: Where moulds have been used for previous orders over a number of years
prior to mould ownership request, a discounted mould purchase price may be
negotiated. In all instances it is Apecs intention to facilitate your retention of
your styles.

 | Contract Moulding
Moulds can also be made on a contract basis for your
ownership where you may wish to purchase and retain the mould, either stored at Apecs for
current orders or retain at your own premises. |

| Full Finishing
This service is available on Apecs catalogue designs
and may also be available on your designs subject to suitability of patterns. |
